Back in seminary at the U. of Chicago, I liked his "stratified layers of complexity" that become so complex that resistance to new facts finally gives way to an altered theory. Stability for a while, then a revolution leading to a new stability. A similar process seems to be at play in political theories and even ego structure.

I read "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" decades ago and it has stuck with me ever since. Truly a memorable book and set of concepts.
